Class XII student commits suicide

NEW DELHI: Apparently depressed over her poor preparations for the mathematics paper, a Class XII student allegedly hanged herself in her house at Mansarovar Park here on Saturday night.

The incident came to light around 5-30 a.m. when Poonam’s mother went to her room to wake her up and found her hanging from the ceiling. The daughter of a lawyer at the Tis Hazari courts, Poonam was a student of a government school in Shahdara. His family members told the police that she was depressed as she was weak in mathematics and this could have driven her to take the extreme step.
