THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: C.K. Chandrappan, MP, will present a private Bill in Parliament demanding the constitution of a High Court Bench in the capital city. He said this while addressing the members of the Thiruvananthapuram Bar Association who are on an indefinite Satyagraha in front of the court complex at Vanchiyoor demanding the setting up of the Bench with filing powers. Mr. Chandrappan said the Bill had been distributed to the MPs from the Parliament Secretariat. The Bill will be presented before Parliament on Friday. The Samastha Kerala Sunni Yuvajana Sangham district committee has expressed solidarity with the protesting lawyers. In a release here on Sunday, S. Naseerudheen Faizi, president of the sangham, termed the demand “just, reasonable and aimed at the overall interest of the State.”
