Women sets herself, son on fire

NEW DELHI: A 37-year-old woman set herself and her four-year-old son afire in her house at Uttam Nagar here on Sunday. The incident came to light when Baljinder Kaur’s husband Chaman Kamal and their nine-year-old son Khushveer returned home from a religious gathering around 2-45 p.m. and found the charred bodies of his wife and youngest son Kabeer in the bathroom.

Subsequently he informed the police. In a suicide note, Baljinder allegedly blamed herself for having taken the extreme step.
