Two killed in accident

TIRUVANNAMALAI: Two persons, including a one-and-half-year-old girl, were killed and six others injured when the car they were travelling in rammed into a tree near Sandhavasal on the Cuddalore-Chittoor Road in Tiruvannamalai district early on Sunday.

According to the police, Rajasekharan (45), a TNEB employee of Thiruvanaikkaval in Tiruchi, was returning to Tiruchi along with his family and friends after visiting Tirupathi. Driver J. Karthikeyan (32), of Thiruvanaikkaval, died on the spot, while Sivakalini died on the way to hospital.
