The first PTA day celebrations of Bhavan’s Munshi Vidyashram, Tiruvankulam, was inaugurated by John Minu Mathew, general manager (Technical), of BPCL-Kochi Refineries Limited recently. Quoting from the Bible, he said that the fear of God was the beginning of wisdom. He spoke of the need to inculcate the habit of reading in children.

Sacred Heart CMI Public School, Thevara, has won the overall trophy at the Sahodaya championship held at Delta Study, Fort Kochi. The events were to evaluate the all-round personality of a child – creative, mathematical, scientific, literary and physical fitness.

Union Minister of State for Labour and Employment Oscar Fernandes was the chief guest at the annual day celebrations of Gregorian Public School, Kochi, recently.

Joseph Mar Gregorios Metropolitan, school manager, presided. Principal K.V. Paulose gave an account of the steps taken by the school to restructure kindergarten learning. Senior students presented a street play in Malayalam to highlight the exploitation of people living in the drinking water-scarce coastal areas by politicians, officials and contractors.
