KANNUR: A policeman who was among those deployed in the trouble-torn areas in the district was killed when hit by a private bus. The deceased was identified as P. Shibu (29), constable of the KAP Battalion IV at Mangattuparamba. The police said that he was on his way from his house at Panur to Koothuparamba, where he was assigned duty, when the accident occurred. The bike he was riding was hit by the bus at Pathipalam near Koothuparamba at around 8 a.m.
