CPI(M) activists protesting against the RSS and the BJP in New Delhi on Monday for their attack on the party headquarters.

NEW DELHI: The Delhi State Committee of the Communist Party of India (Marxist) held a demonstration at Jantar Mantar here on Monday protesting against Sunday’s attack at its party headquarters by BJP-RSS activists.

The protesting speakers charged that the attack was pre-planned. They said it was not just an attack on the CPI (M) but also on democratic values and institutions.

They alleged that the RSS-BJP was acting in this manner as because of frustration over the growing role of the CPI (M) in national politics and its steadfast defence of secularism. It was also pointed out that the BJP-RSS was not able to grow in areas where the CPI (M) was strong.

The protesters demanded strict action against the culprits.
