Maoists call for A.P. bandh on March 14

Special Correspondent

HYDERABAD: Maoists and the Janashakti group of naxals called for a statewide bandh on March 14, protesting against the visit of UPA Chairperson Sonia Gandhi to the State.

A joint statement issued by the two naxal parties branded Ms. Gandhi an “American agent” and called upon people to observe bandh to protest against her visit. The statement castigated the ruling Congress for not taking up any developmental projects for Telangana and for abandoning its promise of forming a separate State.

The naxal parties termed the resignations of TRS MLAs, MPs and MLCs as a move only to derive political mileage.
