dated March 11, 1958: Strength of Congress

The Congress President, Mr. U. N. Dhebar, on March 9 called on the members of the Congress Party in Parliament to help and cooperate with the Congress workers at the Mandal level in constructive work so as to strengthen the party organisation.

The Congress President stressed the need for the Congress Party to take stock of the situation and find out how best they could serve the people. He struck a note of caution and said that unless the Congress took seriously to constructive work, for which purpose the very constitution of the party has recently been amended, they would lose touch with the masses of the people.
