KOCHI: All arrangements are in place in the district for the smooth conduct of the Secondary School Leaving Certificate (SSLC) examination which begins on Wednesday. As per the Deputy Director of Education, Ernakulam, 38,325 students will appear for the exams this year. Of this 19,776 are boys and 18,459 are girls. About 308 deputy chief superintendents and 2,838 invigilators will make the rounds at 310 centres. The SNDP High School at Udayamperur will have the most number of students (474) appearing for exams, while the lowest number of students (3) will be from the Government High School at Willingdon Island. Special squads for detecting irregularities have been formed.
