‘Vidyuth2K8’ gets under way

VISAKHAPATNAM: A two-day national seminar ‘Vidyuth2K8’ being organised by Al-Ameer College of Engineering, got underway at the college premises at Gudilova on Monday.

Principal of JNTU, Kakinada, E.V. Prasad, said that seminars are a platform for students to widen the scope of their knowledge.

They are all the more important for engineering students. He spoke of his plans to hold seminars regularly at JNTU for the benefit of students. College Principal C. Ayyanna said that 150 technical papers would be presented in nine sessions. He said that of the two lakh megawatts of power being produced by the country, 70 per cent was being generated by thermal plants.
