‘Missing’ girl found dead

VISAKHAPATNAM: A girl who went missing on March 1 was found dead at Parawada in the district on Monday. Venkatalakshmi, 17, was found murdered and the body dumped in the bushes.

Pirated CDs seized

Four persons were arrested and 12,105 pirated CDs were seized in a raid conducted jointly by the City Task Force and representatives of the Indian Music Institute, Mumbai. The raids were conducted in the Leela Mahal area, Nakkavanipalem and Sangam Sarat junction.

Man arrested

A man was arrested on the charge of threatening to kill his lover at Bheemunipatnam on Monday.

According to SI Papa Rao, the accused person B. Appa Rao was married and has two daughters. He allegedly developed an extramarital relationship with a woman who was recently selected to the teacher post after qualifying in the B.Ed. Subsequently, she distanced herself from him.

Appa Rao then allegedly threatened to kill her.

The accused person was arrested.
