NALCO pays 45 p.c. interim dividend

BHUBANESWAR: National Aluminium Company Limited (NALCO) on Monday paid an interim dividend of 45 per cent on the paid-up capital of Rs.644.31 crore, amounting to Rs.289.94 crore for the financial year 2007-08. NALCO

Chairman-cum-Managing Director C. R. Pradhan handed over the dividend cheque valuing Rs.252.67 crore on the 87.15 per cent shares held by Centre to Sis Ram Ola, Union Minister of Mines at New Delhi, a company statement said here.

Union Mines Secretary J. P Singh, NALCO Director (Finance) B.L. Bagra, and other senior company officials were present on the occasion .

The balance amount of Rs.37.27 crore was disbursed to other shareholders of the company like banks, financial institutions and individual shareholders, the release added.
