One of the photographs displayed at the travelling exhibition by children of Arul Ashram. PUDUCHERRY: It was the turn of the little ones to showcase their photography skills on Sunday. Children of Arul Ashram, home to 16 HIV positive children, have exhibited a number of photographs at a travelling exhibition. The training took them though the basics, along with the technicalities of handling a camera. The children were asked to take photographs of things around them. An analysis of the photographs was done and corrections were made. The best on displaySoon, the children were allotted subjects and asked to take photographs pertaining to the subject. From over a 1,000 photographs taken, 50 were selected. The photographs were first displayed at Colour Crew Art Gallery. The travelling exhibition would be on at The Promenade till March 16 from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. and from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. Apart from providing an avenue of expression for the children, the exhibition aimed to teach them ways of handling public scrutiny. At the same time, the exhibition also seeks to create awareness of HIV positive children among the general public, according to a release issued by Arul Ashram.
