PUDUCHERRY: Convener of the Federation of Village Panchayat Presidents Associations G. A Jagannathan said that they would stage a demonstration on Saturday to highlight their grievances. Mr. Jagannathan told reporters on Tuesday that the government was yet to implement the 73rd and 74th Constitutional amendments in the Union Territory. They also demanded action against officials in the Local Administration who were “standing in the way of devolution of powers to the local bodies.”
