Shimla: In what is expected to bring some respite to the people of this Himachal Pradesh hill resort, a primate park was inaugurated on Tuesday at Tara Devi near here to check the monkey menace that has assumed alarming proportions. Chief Minister Prem Kumar Dhumal said his government would endeavour to develop primate parks to provide natural habitats to the monkeys. “The primate parks are aimed at confining the monkeys to their natural habitats,” he said after inaugurating the park that would be managed by the wildlife wing of the State Forest Department.
