KORAPUT: Chasi Mulia Adivasi Sangh of Koraput district has demanded for transfer of all the tribal land to the original owners from the occupation of non-tribals. Members of the Sangh who had reached Bandhugaon block office in a massive rally from Hata Sarpali submitted a memorandum to the BDO. The memorandum, which was addressed to the district collector has asked the administration to prevent businessmen from the State and neighbouring Andhra Pradesh from illegally acquiring land of the tribals to grow lemon grass in the district. The Sangh also demanded issuing of land pattas to all the tribals staying in the forest areas as per the guidelines of the Forest Right Act. .
