KOLLAM: The Computer Science and Information Technology Department of Younus College of Engineering and Technology here is organising a two-day national-level technical symposium on current trends in information technology. The symposium, christened Yojana 08, will be inaugurated on March 12 by Agriculture Minister Mullakara Ratnakaran at a function to be presided over by chairman of the college trust A. Younus Kunju. The event will comprise quiz, competitions in paper presentation, optimisation, web designing, and management skills. The topics for paper presentation are green computing, sustainable energy, simulation and biotechnology. There will also be an exhibition and competition of films taken with mobile phone cameras.
