Run over by train

Chitradurga: Chandrappa (48) was run over by a train near the police guesthouse here on Monday. The police suspect it to be a case of suicide. They said Chandrappa, who was an arrack agent, was in debt after the ban on arrack came into effect. Unable to repay what he owed, he decided to end his life. The Railway Police have registered a case. — Staff Correspondent
