Elected

BANGALORE: U. Vasudeva Rao, consultant and head of the department of Surgery in Manipal Hospital, Bangalore, has been elected chairman of the Karnataka State Chapter of Association of Surgeons of India. He was elected for the year 2008 at the association’s annual conference held at Gulbarga recently. Mr. Rao is also member of the Governing Council of Association of Surgeons of India and was the past president of Surgical Society of India. — Staff Reporter
