Compensation to farmers

KOLAR: Zilla panchayat member Varthur R. Prakash distributed cash relief of Rs. 90,000 to the farmers of Shettikottanur village near here on Monday. The compensation was provided to 18 farmers who suffered loss from a fire in the village a few days ago. Addressing a function organised to distribute the relief, Mr. Prakash urged the district administration to give relief to farmers whose ragi crop was destroyed in the fire.
