Compensation sought for victims

THALASSERY: The People’s Council for Civil Rights (PCCR) has urged the State government to offer compensation to victims of the recent political violence in and around Thalassery.

A press release issued by the PCCR said that its meeting held here on Tuesday had demanded that the government pay compensation to the dependents of the 12 people killed in the violence in the area over the past few months and also to those injured.
