BIDAR: Air Marshall G.S. Chaudhry, Air Officer Commanding-in-Chief, Training Command, Indian Air Force, was on a farewell visit to Air Force Station, Bidar, on Tuesday. Air Marshall Chaudhry will retire on April 30, after 39 years of service in the IAF. The Air Marshall was recently awarded the Param Vishisht Seva Medal for his outstanding leadership and devotion to duty. In an interaction with presspersons, Air Marshall Chaudhry said that training for pilots with Hawk, advanced air jet trainer aircrafts will begin in June at the Air Force Station, Bidar. Every year, pilots will be training in two batches once in six months, Air Marshall Chaudhry said. He said with Hawks it will be possible to impart quality training for pilots and also with “absolute precision”. At present, there are 10 Hawks at the Bidar Air Force Station and by the time training begins “we will be having adequate number of Hawks”. He said IAF was building capacity for having global reach. On his arrival, Air Marshall Chaudhry was received by Air Commodore Ramesh Rai, Air Officer Commanding, Bidar, and Jyoti Rai.
