Gulf Cup racing in April

MANGALORE: The first round of Gulf Cup dirt track racing will be held at the Karavali Utsav (exhibition) ground here from April 26.

A press release from Shrikant Karani of Sportscraft here on Tuesday said the event will consist of four qualifying rounds and a fifth final round. The final round will be known as Gulf Cup Dirt Track Racing - Clash of Titans round.

A maximum of 15 and a minimum of six riders will be selected from the four qualifying rounds. Cumulative points of four rounds will be considered for the riders’ eligibility in their final round.

Entry forms for local class will be available at Darshan, Sharavathi Building, Balmatta, and Mangalore – 575001. Two special local classes for Karnataka are set up for motorcycles up to 15 cc two-stroke and motor cycles up to 165 cc four-stroke. Details can be had from Sportscraft.
