Music, dance contests

CHENNAI: The Chennai District Kalai Mandram will organise singing and dance competitions in connection with International Women’s Day celebrations.

Participants of all age groups may perform on the themes women’s empowerment and women’s rights. The winners would get to perform in the celebrations on March 19.

Besides prizes for the three toppers, certificates would be distributed to all participants, according to a press release.

Candidates may furnish details to E. Thiruvalluvan, member secretary of Chennai District Kalai Mandram, Arts and Culture Department, Greenways Road, Chennai-28. (Phone: 24617261).
