Cylinder blast triggers panic

VISAKHAPATNAM: Residents of VUDA LIG apartments and nearby flats in Seethammadhara North Extension were out of their wits following a blast in one of the flats at around 9 a.m. on Tuesday. The blast, which resulted in damage to windowpanes, occurred when gas leaked out of a cylinder in one of the houses overnight and the housewife tried to light a match in the morning. The woman and her two children suffered injuries. Fourth Town SI Satyanarayana said that the blast was due to gas leak.
