Rosaiah slams TD
HYDERABAD: Criticising the Telugu Desam Party for ‘wasting’ the time of the House, Finance and Legislative Affairs Minister K. Rosaiah asserted that the Government was prepared to reply to the Opposition if they raised the issues in a proper way in tune with the procedures of the Assembly.
Speaking to reporters in the Assembly lobbies on Tuesday, he said the Lok Ayukta’s report could not be tabled in the House because of ‘some technicalities’. At the same time, he asked the main Opposition to cooperate in tabling the report of Justice B.K. Somasekhara Commission that inquired into the Yeleru land scam and submitted its findings.
Mr. Rosaiah expressed concern that the budget session of the Legislative Assembly could not take up debate on the demands for grants till date as the TDP was insisting that the House set aside rules and procedures and “take up business as demanded by it.”
Moreover, the TDP was adopting a “new technique” in asking women members to take the lead making the matters delicate for the Chair.
