Driver beaten up by two men

Staff Reporter

NEW DELHI: A 26-year-old driver of a Bolero car was beaten up by two young men in a Scorpio jeep following a minor accident at Mandawali here on Tuesday. The accused are absconding.

According to the police, the incident took place near the Ghazipur traffic intersection on National Highway-24 in the afternoon when the Bolero driver, Gulshan, suddenly applied the brakes. The Scorpio ended up hitting it, following which the two occupants alighted from the vehicle and entered into an altercation with Gulshan.

They then allegedly beat up Gulshan and fled. Gulshan was taken to Lal Bahadur Shastri Hospital from where he was later discharged.

Based on his complaint, the police have registered a case and launched a hunt for the accused. It is learnt that the Bolero belongs to a woman lawyer.
