An all-in-one visual treat

NEW DELHI: A weeklong exhibition of paintings, sculptures and photographs titled “Autumn Endeavours” under the auspices of Art Pranayam concludes at Lokayata Art Gallery here on Thursday.

The exhibition attempts to showcase the pictorial sensibilities of various artists and to dispel the notion of “senior” and “junior” artists to facilitate a boundary-less expression of creativity.

“Surface and space for every individual becomes the prime concern while devising methods of creating one’s own visual works. There is no conformity to a specific thought process but each one exhibits their propositions to invite attention to their self-created world. Any work of art when displayed in a gallery generates curiosity among the viewers. And this curiosity forms the crux of the appeal of art,” says director Priyanka.

The exhibition has brought together on a common platform several artists such as Prem Singh, Abbas Batliwala, Shabbir Hasan Qazi, Saumya Bandyopadhyay and Sabia. Other participating artistes include Kavita Sagar, Kiran Murdia, Ajay Jaitly, Hemant Dwivedi, Ram Shabd and Pradeep Saurabh.

Established in 1992 with the aim of generating art awareness and making art more accessible to young talents, Art Pranayam has been actively involved in promoting art and widening its reach in society. Totally committed to winning and keeping the trust of artists, the organisation functions on the premise that its growth is interminably tied to the growth of the artist and not vice versa.

Art Pranayama also keeps an eye on young talents in cities and smaller townships endeavouring to assimilate them in the mainstream art movement. These artistes are then selected by a panel of senior artistes and exhibitions and workshops are conducted to further their artistic development.
