ANANTAPUR: With a view to encourage high school teachers to work harder to prepare students for the SSC examinations better, District Collector N. Sridhar has announced sops like cash prizes and felicitations with commendations certificates for achieving best results. He also directed the hostel wardens to stay put in the hostels in nights to ensure proper preparation by the students towards achieving good results. The Collector has taken up a campaign for the last six months to improve SSC results and ensure that the district figures in the top 10 list of districts. The Collector stated that cash rewards and felicitations would be given to subject teachers, headmasters and wardens for achieving good results. The last 10 days before the exams would hold key to transform their hard work for the last six months and get good results, he said. The teachers and wardens should also counsel students to remove exam phobia. He also released Rs. 2.56 crores towards salaries of education volunteers.
