The two would file their nomination papers on Friday, Mr. Patnaik said. Out of the four Rajya Sabha seats that were to be vacated in respect of Orissa, two would be vacated with the expiry of the terms of Sushree Devi and Pramila Bohidar of the BJD. As regards another seat to be vacated on the expiry of the term of Bharatiya Janata Party leader Surendra Lath, the party has already announced the name of Balbir Punj, a senior BJP member who was earlier elected to the Rajya Sabha from Uttar Pradesh.
