Deputy Director of Pre-University Education Ravindra Ritti told presspersons here on Wednesday that apart from the two vigilance squads led by Deputy Director of PU Education and Deputy Director of Public Instruction, three new squads headed by senior principals in the district had been formed. Mr. Ritti said that there were 27 examination centres in the district of which four were considered to be sensitive. PreparationsTo a query, Mr. Ritti said that all preparations had been made for smooth conduct of the examinations. Meetings of principals of all PU colleges in the district had been conducted twice, he said. Mr. Ritti said that apart from the mobile vigilance squads, members of local vigilance squads deputed from other districts would also be monitoring the examination centres. They would function at different examination centres every day. Special vigilance squad members deputed for supervision work by the Deputy Commissioner would also visit the centres. Additional timeFrom this year, the students would be given an additional time of 15 minutes for going through the question paper before they start writing the examination. This would help the students plan better, he said.
