Bidar
Honour: Film actor Ganesh being felicitated in Bidar on Wednesday. BIDAR: The residents of Bidar got an opportunity to see “Golden Star” Ganesh in flesh and blood on Wednesday. Mr. Ganesh was here for a promotional event. People, who had gathered in large numbers, cheered as Mr. Ganesh arrived at the Reliance Communications outlet in Bidar city. Later, they followed him up to the Uttara Karnataka office premises where a public function was organised to felicitate him. Excited fans had lined up to shake hands and get photographed with the actor who shot to fame after the runaway hit “Mungaaru Male”. Some of them got on to the stage and greeted him with flowers. The police had a tough time controlling the people. ‘Ordinary person’
Addressing the gathering, Mr. Ganesh said though he was a hero on screen, he was an ordinary person in real life. He thanked the people for their affection. Later, he delivered a few dialogues from his films and sang songs. At a press conference after the function, Mr. Ganesh said that he had offers from Telugu film industry.
