Belgaum: The city unit of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) staged a demonstration here on Wednesday in protest against the rise in terrorist activities in the country, particularly in Karnataka. The party activists shouted slogans against terrorist organisations and Pakistan for allegedly supporting groups carrying out terror operations in the country. Led by city BJP president Umesh Patil and youth leaders Sanjeev Hanamsagar, Chidanand Mudalgi and Chidanand Jemshettar, the activists shouted slogans against the Congress party for “ineffective” handling of terrorism. They held the Congress responsible for the spread of terrorism from north India to south India.
