Directive to ensure safety of journalists

Bhopal: Madhya Pradesh Assembly Speaker Ishwar Das Rohani has directed the State Government to provide adequate protection to a Sehore-based scribe, who was allegedly beaten up by police for reporting a dispute between Sehore collector and Vidisha MP Rampal Singh’s driver.

The government should ensure that journalists are provided adequate protection and see to it that no action is taken against them with ill intentions, Mr. Rohani said in the Assembly.
