Students, parents block highway

SRIVILLIPUTTUR: Over 35 persons, including students and their parents, blocked the Srivilliputtur-Madurai highway protesting against the management of a private teacher training Institute at Krishnankoil on Wednesday.

The police said that the management had admitted additional 15 students over and above the approved number of seats.

The parents contended that the management failed to give a proper reply to their queries and turned down their request for fee refund.
