Five killed in accidents

VIZIANAGARAM: Three persons were killed in accidents on Wednesday in the district.
According to the police, Reddy Sunil Kumar (21), a contract worker in Andhra Chemicals, was killed and four others injured when the auto in which they were travelling overturned near Garbham in Garividi mandal.
At Perapuram in Poosapatirega mandal, Ch. Krishna (25) was killed and eight others injured, including the auto driver when a truck hit their auto.
M. Trinadh (35), a labour, was killed and 16 others injured when a truck hit the jeep at Dattirajeru.
In a freak accident at a rice mill in Mentada, Reddy Appa Rao was killed on the spot and a truck cleaner T. Krishna succumbed to injuries in the government hospital on Wednesday evening.
According to the Andra police, driver T. Sankara Rao, while trying to reverse the truck after unloading rice bags at Sri Lakshmi Rice Mills, hit a bullock cart and later some trees on the premises.
Truck cleaner Krishna and hamalis N. Ramu, B. Sriramulu and Sira Suri were injured in the accident.
The driver surrendered to the police.
