Funds allocated for MCD schools

NEW DELHI: The Engineering Department of the Municipal Corporation of Delhi has allocated Rs.2 crore for maintenance and repairs at 1,291 of its schools under the special Escrow Account Funds 2008-09.

The work in schools will include repairs of doors and windows, water supply, toilets and provision of fans in classes. The cost of the repair work per school has been worked out to be around Rs.15,000.
