BJP plea to postpone March 14 Intermediate exam

HYDERABAD: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has appealed to the government to postpone the Intermediate examination scheduled for March 14 in view of the bandh call given by the party to protest against UPA chairperson Sonia Gandhi’s stand on Telangana issue.

Speaking to reporters here on Wednesday, Chintala Ramachandra Reddy, president of the BJP Greater Hyderabad unit, said the party was making all efforts to ensure that the bandh was a success. The students appearing Intermediate examination would be affected, he said stopping short of saying that its cadre would prevent students also. “We have written to all the colleges and schools to close on March 14 and we are serious about it,” he said.
