Collector reviews housing programme

Special Correspondent

Srikakulam: District Collector N. Srikanth on Wednesday instructed officials entrusted with the task of executing the Indiramma housing programme to prepare a list of beneficiaries who had been sanctioned houses under the scheme but had no house sites.

Reviewing the progress of the programme with the Mandal Housing Officers and AEs of the Housing Department, Mr. Srikanth had also instructed them to delete names of ineligible persons and persons who had permanently migrated.

Mr. Srikanth pointed out the gap between physical progress of the number of houses completed and payments made and wanted that there should be no such gaps. He wanted the MHOs and the AEs to review the progress on a daily basis. CEO of ZP C.S.S.V. Kondaiah Sastry and District Manager (Housing) Y. Sambasiva Rao attended the meeting.
