Kottayam, Somervel in semifinals

THIRUVALLA: Medical College, Kottayam and Somervel Memorial Medical College, Karakonam entered the semifinals of the 3rd Mar Theophilos inter-medicos basketball tournament at the Pusphagiri Medical College floodlit court on Wednesday.

In the quarterfinals, Medical College, Kottayam overcame Government Medical College, Thrissur 38-33 while Somervel Medical College defeated TD Medical College, Alappuzha 38-30. In the women’s round robin league, Pusphagiri Medical College ‘A’ edged out Pushpagiri ‘B’ side 15-14.
