Court upholds G.O. 35
Legal Correspondent
Hyderabad: Justice P.S. Narayana of the High Court on Wednesday dismissed a batch of writ petitions while upholding Government Order 35, which was issued to rationalise the allotment of number of ration cards for existing fair price shops.
The G.O. was issued by the State Government which led to reducing the number of ration cards to the existing ration shop dealers.
Some of the fair price shops have more than one thousand ration cards attached to them.
Many writ petitions were filed challenging the constitutional validity of the G.O. and the judge upheld the GO.
The court declared that there is nothing unconstitutional and the Government is within its powers.
