Upton appointed physical trainer

Mumbai: The BCCI has hired South Africa Paddy Upton as physical trainer/mental conditioning counsellor of the Indian team.

Upton will join the team four days before the first Test against South Africa to start in Chennai on March 26. Gary Kirsten, appointed coach of the Indian team for two years, had requested for the appointment of Upton.

Kirsten is scheduled to arrive here in a day or two. — Special Correspondent
