Power outage in district

KOCHI: Most parts of Ernakulam plunged into darkness for about an hour in the night on Wednesday when a 110 kv feeder line at the Kalamassery sub-station broke.

A KSEB spokesperson said the feeder line broke and fell on the premises of the sub-station resulting in the blackout affecting about 60 per cent of the district.

The supply was restored in 45 minutes.

All top officials of the KSEB in the district were at the sub-station supervising the repair work. The incident occurred around 9.45 p.m.
