Activists want Valsaraj to quit

PUDUCHERRY: Activists belonging to 13 organisations courted arrest when they marched to the Assembly demanding the resignation of Health Minister E. Valsaraj on the ground that a case had been registered against him and nine others in the purchase of land for a B.Ed. college in the cooperative sector in Mahe.

The outfits including Viduthalai Chiruthaigal Katchi, Bahujan Samaj Party, Meenavar Viduthalai Vengaigal and Makkal Urimai Kootamaippu demanded suspension of erstwhile Chief Engineer of the PWD C. Anandane, as the CBI had filed the charge sheet in a case against him.
