Five members of a dalit family killed

Lucknow: Five members of a dalit family were shot dead allegedly by members of the same community over a land dispute at Aminabad village in Etawah district on Thursday.

Police said Hom Singh had an old enmity with his neighbour Vishram Singh over a piece of land. Vishram Singh had recently won a court battle in the dispute. In the wee hours on Thursday, Hom Singh and some others raided Vishram Singh’s house and opened indiscriminate fire killing Vishram Singh, his wife, son, daughter-in-law and another person, they said.
