TIRUPATI: Employees belonging to the Akashvani and Doordarshan affiliated to the National Federation of Akashvani and DD Employees (NFADE) have on Thursday held a sit-in demonstration before the All India Radio and DD complex here demanding that they be continued as the staff of Prasara Bharati. The other demand was that the government should so amend the Prasara Bharati Act that the control and authority over the staff and the various properties of the Prasara Bharati continued to remain with the Central Government. O. Subramanyam, local coordinator of the NFADE has said that the Federation has already submitted its detailed proposal and charter of demands to the Group of Ministers (GoM) constituted by the government to look into the entire gamut of the issue.
