Funds allotted for urban roads

NEW DELHI: A total of Rs. 75 crore has been sanctioned by the Municipal Corporation of Delhi for carrying out work on urban roads under the Escrow Account Funds.

According to a senior civic body official, the funds would be used for improving street lighting, constructing sign boards and procuring tools and plants. Over Rs. 5 crore will also be spent on purchasing thermoplastic paints for newly-laid roads.
