Circus academy at Thalassery

Thiruvananthapuram: A circus academy is to be set up at Thalassery. This was announced by Minister for Law and Parliamentary Affairs M. Vijayakumar at a meeting of officials and representatives of circus companies convened by him and Home Minister Kodiyeri Balakrishnan here on Thursday. He said that the District Collector of Kannur had been asked to locate five acres in Thalassery municipality for it. A sum of Rs 25 lakhs was earmarked in this year’s budget for the academy. —Special Correspondent
