THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The Department of Forests and Wildlife is organising a photography competition which is open to all, except employees of the department. There is no entry fee.

Winners of the first three places will be awarded certificates and cash prizes of Rs.10,000, Rs.7,000 and Rs.5,000 respectively. The next 15 top entries will be given consolation prize of Rs.1,000 each.

Though a person can send more than one entry, he/she will not be entitled to receive more than on prize.

The entry photographs should be on the topic ‘Man and forests’ and should be taken within the State. There should not be any mark or name in the photograph which identifies the photographer.

“Forests & People – photograph competition – 2008” should be superscribed on the envelope.

The entries will not be returned. The Chief Conservator of Forests (ED & TW) will have the right to publish them in print or electronic media.

Photographs in size 30 x 20 cm, along with film negatives (CDs in the case of digital photographs), should reach the Chief Conservator of Forests (ED & TW), Vanashree, Forest Headquarters, Thiruvananthapuram – 695 014, before April 11.
